Magazine flowers

Here is a super easy and cheap way to decorate!

Magazine flowers-

What you will need:
Ruler or something square to use as stencil
Magazine pages
Glue ( I used hot glue because it was faster)
Something to use as a stem. I used straws because that is all I had and I think it gave it a little fun feel.

Depending on how big you want each petal, measure out a square from your magazine page. I used a frame to help me that measured 3.5" by 3.5"

Start with your square.
Fold paper in half

Bring the outside corners up to touch the tip of the triangle. Here it is displayed sideways.

Again, fold the outside corners into the center

apply glue in between the creases when you fold them over.

Take three or four completed petals and glue them to your stem.
I fastened the stems together using a flower ring that I had, but really anything will do.
This is really only if you want to make more than one / a bouquet.

Trendy

I am doing a project for my Editing/Writing/Media class about style as it pertains to composing. We are then supposed to remediate ( or use in another medium) the same main points. I chose to take the theme of style as your identity and convey that in people's personal clothing styles.

I had two friends of mine pose for me for the project.
Here are some of my favorites.

Musing

I have been listening to this song all week. I have never seen the music video, so I do not vouch for it. The song however, is pretty cool if I do say so myself.
Enjoy

Things I love right now

1. Ellie Goulding- Lights ( dubstep remix).

Now I can't take credit for this one. My friend Tyler Bradley had this song on his facebook and I became semi obsessed with it. Even if you don't like dubstep, I would give this one a go. I also just discovered his blog based around music that he finds.
check it out. its called The Daily Downlowd

2. Red Wine

I used to be a strictly white wine drinker until very recently. I was at a friend's birthday celebration and did not want to drink that much. We were out at this place called The Wine Loft and I only wanted to drink one glass. So I ordered a glass of red wine so I would drink it slowly and not really enjoy it lol
Not I am hooked. Im loving me a nice house Merlot.
Apparently it has antioxidants in it so you could say I am being healthy.
If you wanted to.

3. Glee Pandora Station

Now a days everyone is a glee fan. They all tune in to watch the show and sing the covers of all the songs that we love.

But I would be so bold as to say that not everyone listens to the glee radio station, which would put me way higher on the fan list than others.
This Pandora station plays the best songs. Not only the Glee covers, but also the songs they cover, other disney songs, and basically stuff you want to hear.

4. Drop box

So this is not the average thing to put on a blog but let me tell you, this thing is awesome.
Has your friend ever asked you to send them a ton of pictures and you have to sit on your computer and email every single one of them individually? And then you start to hate your friend for making you do this?
Well no more! go to www.dropbox.com and make an account. It literally takes two seconds. Once you have both made an account you can simply copy the pictures you want into your dropbox folder and they will appear in your friend's folder on their computer.
Its genius I tell you!

Coooookie Crisp

So here I am on a Sunday night watching an adorable indie film called HappyThankYouMorePlease and there comes a scene with a little boy eating like 10 choc chip cookies. Then it hits me.
I would really love a chocolate chip cookie.

I mean, come on. Who wouldnt love a chocolate chip cookie at 9:30 on a Sunday night? Whoever they are I hope i never meet them.
But I digress.
So I start googeling (googling? idk)) where to get a cookie in Tallahassee.
Now I know I could simply go to Publix but I don't want to. Ok? Jeese
So here pops up this website called Late Baked Goods.
I am intrigued so I click it.

Brilliant! It is a cookie and brownie delivery service that only operates between the hours of 8pm and 2 am Thursday through Sunday.
Now I know what you are thinking. "those generous people are making sure students who are studying late night have warm delicious cookies when they need a little break". I know. that is obviously what they are doing.

I dont care what their motives are, this place is fucking genius. They even deliver milk with the cookies.

Cookies $0.75 each

    - Chocolate Chip
    - Oatmeal Raisin
    - Sugar Cookie
    - Special Of The Week!
Brownies $1.00 each

    - Double Fudge
    - Regular
    - Blondie

Extras!

    - 12oz Milk ........................... $1.50
    - 12oz Chocolate Milk........ $1.50
    - 12oz Soy Milk.....................$2.00

That is their menu in case you were wondering ^

So long story short, I called the number and some crazy lady answered. apparently they went out of business or something. So this whole post was for nothing because here I am without any warm cookies or brownies or milk for that matter.
But I thought this idea was so cool that I had to share it with you.
And by you I of corse mean no one because I have no followers yet.
But in case you did happen to stumble across my page. I am writing for you and only you. So go out and get this business going again because I think it is bloody brilliant.
That is all. Have a great week.

Linkin Park After Dark

So this whole blogging every day or even every week thing has not exactly worked out, but I am getting to it now. So lets go!

For Christmas my older brother Michael got us tickets to the Linkin Park concert at the St. Pete Times Forum on January 22. Now to explain how excited we both were for this concert I need to explain when the obsession began.

Linkin Park's first album Hybrid Theory came out in 2000. I was ten. My brother listened to it, thus I listened to it. And the love blossomed. It is now 10 years later and neither of us have been to a concert.
Needless to say we had waited long enough.

We had nosebleed seats and couldn't have cared less.
